Wild Bill Hickok and Purgatory

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Sunday, January 23, 2011, In : Ghosts
I was watching Ghost Lab on the Discovery Channel last night and it was one of the best episodes I've seen so far.  The Klinge brothers were in Deadwood, South Dakota, an historic old wild west town that once boasted the likes of "Wild Bill" Hickok, Calamity Jane and Seth Bullock.  Like a lot of old historic places, especially those blessed with being bypassed for "urban renewal," Deadwood is rife with spirits from the past and little slips in the fabric of time and space.  Seth Bullock, form...

Pseudo-History Channel and the Founding Fathers

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Thursday, January 13, 2011, In : Founding Fathers
I watched a show about the Secrets of the Founding Fathers on the Pseudo-History Channel last night and, well, they managed again to do an excellent job at stretching the limits of theory and conjecture (which I thought scientists were most adept at) and butchering any real history to the point that it becomes impossible to discern the truth from fiction.  And most of it coming from academics who should know better but realize that a good tale makes a better sell and helps to boost their own ...

Rasputin and the Lost Book of Nostradamus

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Friday, December 24, 2010, In : Nostradamus
I just watched "The Lost Book of Nostradamus" on the History International Channel last night.  This was the second or third time I'd seen this show.  On one of the images I saw a striking picture of what appears to be Rasputin.  One can even discern the Orthodox Christian cross carved into his forehead.  The figure is holding a book which may represent, among other things, judgment.  And certainly this prophet of doom foretold a terrible judgment upon Russia, which shortly came to pass.  Doe...

More Time Travel Videos

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Saturday, December 11, 2010, In : Time Travel
Everyone loves the new Time Travel page, so we've added a few more videos to inspire and aid those intrepid explorers of other dimensions of time and space.  For those who are not so bold as to attempt such feats, you may still want to watch if for no other reason than to ruminate upon your own mortality and how quickly your own life shall pass and be forgotten, like some scene from the past.  Time waits for no one, so what better time to apply yourself to a serious study of life extension, b...

Becoming A Member of the Brotherhood

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Monday, November 29, 2010, In : Membership
It seems as though I have been besieged as of late with numerous emails and letters from prospective members inquiring about application for membership.  We have received an overwhelming number of inquiries for which we simply were not prepared to deal with without losing the personal touch.  Frater Cyprian has written an important message addressing prospective new members of the Brotherhood, and inquirers after the Rosicrucian movement in general, and asked me to relay this information to y...

New Time Travel Page

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Friday, September 24, 2010, In : Time Travel
To all my time traveling friends, I offer these little vignettes as an inspiration for your meditations.  Go to our new Time Travel page to see them.  The first video is a look into the future - as seen from the eyes of people in the 1920's.  The second is a lovely look into a more stylish past - a night at the famed Ciro's in London.  I think I'll dust off my tux and join them for the evening.  Would you care to come along?  Happy projections!

British treasure hunter discovers hoard of 52,500 Roman coins

Posted by Frater Anselmo on Sunday, July 18, 2010, In : Treasure
To all my brothers of the Rosy Cross who are searching for fortune and the elusive buried treasures of the fabled past, I offer the following good news, which should encourage and embolden you even more to never give up the quest for riches.

On July 8, the Associated Press carried an article announcing that a fortune seeker in Britain had uncovered a hoard of 52,500 Roman coins, valued at 3.3 million pounds or about 5 million US dollars.

Using a metal detector, Dave Crisp had uncovered the trea...

Frater Anselmo's Blog

Posted by Frater Cyprian on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, In : Frater Cyprian
After much study and prayer, I am giving my blessing to Frater Anselmo to write a "blog" for our Brotherhood website.  Considering that he, as a frater of the Rosy Cross, is bound by an oath of silence, I am certain that his words will be few and carefully chosen.  But I know his passion for reaching out to seekers and I am confident that his messages, however brief,  will reflect the personal attention, warmth and inviting atmosphere of the Brotherhood.  In days past, a letter was crafted ...

About Me

Frater Anselmo For those who do not already know me, I am Frater Anselmo, Secretary-General of The Brotherhood of the Rosy Cross. I answer most of the emails and handle the correspondence in addition to other duties. Frater Cyprian has graciously allowed me to add this feature to our website to provide timely wisdom and spiritual encouragement to the Brotherhood and its many friends. I will consider and try to answer any questions or issues submitted to me via email or letter that may be of interest to our readers. I encourage my fellow fraters and sorors of the R.C. to submit their own posts. Send to my attention and be sure to mention possible inclusion in "Frater Anselmo's Blog." May these words be seasoned with wisdom and bless everyone who reads them.

Brotherhood of the Rosy Cross

The Brotherhood of the Rosy Cross continues the traditions and  teachings of the original Rosicrucian Brotherhood and the Knights Templar.  It is a fraternity of the ancient mysteries; a brotherhood of fortune, romance and adventure.
