rosicrucian follow nature
The Lumen Dei is likened unto the light of the sun, which may not be gazed upon directly, but the Lumen Naturae is like the light of the moon and gentle upon the eyes of the soul.
The Brotherhood of the Rosy Cross teaches that in the alchemy of the human soul, there are two sources of salvific wisdom.  The first and highest is Lumen Dei, the uncreated light of God.  The second is Lumen Naturae, the light of creation hidden in nature.

While the light of Nature is contained in the light of God, the student in the School of Wisdom may discern the light of God reflected in the light of Nature.

By obeying the alchemical injunction to "Follow Nature," we can unveil the secrets not only of nature but also that which is hidden in the light of God.

The light of nature will lead us to the light of God, transforming lead into gold, redeeming life from death, and perfecting body, mind and spirit.
"The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field."

Rosicrucian Treasure and Pearl
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." - Matthew 13:44-45
